Design Philosophy
Nia Collins formed Collins Group Design & Architecture in 1991 to merge the disciplines of architecture and interior design in one agency. Her design philosophy is “Two Disciplines: One Vision™”.

Nia’s clients remark on her work providing exceptional solutions uniquely suited to their lifestyle. Creating custom items is Nia’s specialty, and she particularly enjoys developing original furniture, fabric, and accessory items that reflect her client’s personality. Her talent at finding and creating luxury products and designing homes perfectly suited to her clients make each project a reflection of its owner.

She served as President of the Washington State Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) from 1999 to 2000 and on the organization’s Board of Directors from 1998 to 1999. Currently, Nia serves as the Communications Director of the local ASID Chapter.
She is certified through the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), the Interior Design Coalition of Washington (IDCW), and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Collins Group Design & Architecture carries a Washington State Contractor’s License (#COLLIDI006JS), allowing the firm to oversee all project details.

Education - Nia graduated with honors from Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design.
